XVI. La Torre/XVI. The Tower

En una entrada del 13 de Octubre de 2006 (pincha aquí para verla), mostré un fragmento de un moleskine desplegable de más de dos metros que aún me pregunto como llegé a dibujarlo. No consigo que el blog carge la imagen completa a mayor tamaño, por lo que no queda más remedio que subirlo en tres partes. para verlo más detallado. No es un escaneo perfecto, escanear tanto metraje de dibujo es tarea dificil, pero al menos puede verse. Se trata de una interpretación libre de los 22 Arcanos Mayores del Tarot dentro de una torre, que hace las veces de la carta XVI que lleva este nombre , también nombrada en ocasiones como la Casa de Dios.. De arriba hacia abajo: -XIX.El Sol -XVIII.La Luna -VII.El Carro (la constelación de la Osa Mayor es llamada así en algunos lugares), y dentro de la constelación , estrellas...-XVII.Las Estrellas -I.El Mago -El Loco -IX.El Ermitaño -VI.Los Amantes -II. La Papisa (el personaje que aparece junto a ella de pie no pertenece a los arcanos) -III.La Emperatriz -IV.El Emperador -V.El Sumo Sacerdote -XIV.La Templanza -XI.La Fuerza -XXI.El Mundo -XII.El Colgado -XIII.La Muerte -XV.El Diablo -X.La Rueda de la Fortuna -VIII.La Justicia, guardando la puerta de la torre frente a un hombre presto a ser juzgado... -XX El Juicio.
Lo realicé con lápiz, tinta sepia de Windsor&Newton y gouache blanco de Talens.

In this former entry of October 13, 2006 (click here to see it), I showed a fragment of a drop-down moleskine of more than two meters that still I ask myself how I drew it. I had tried to upload an entire image, but I don´t know why is not possible to see it in a large size, so here is in three images to see the details. It isn´t perfectly scanned. To scan two meters of drawing is a difficult task, but at least I can show it. It is a free interpretation of the 22 Major Arcana in Tarot inside a tower (XVI.The Tower), sometimes called The house of God. From top to down: -XIX.The Sun -XVIII.The Moon -VII.The Chariot (The constellation of the Great Bear is called The Chariot in some places), and giving form to this constellation, the stars... -XVII.The Stars -I.The Magician -The Fool -IX.The Hermit -VI.The Lovers -II. The High Priestess (the who appears together with her isn´t an arcan) -III.The Empress -IV.The Emperor -V.The Pope -XIV.Temperance -XI. Strength -XXI.The World -XII.The Hanged Man -XIII.Death -XV.The Devil -X.Wheel of fortune -VIII. Justice, watching the door of the tower opposite to a man ready to be judged... -XX. The Judgement.
It was realized with pencil, sepia ink of Windsor&Newton and white gouache of Talens.

Bien, amigos. Pues la entrada correspondiente al mes de Abril de la revista Muy Interesante(nº 335) viene más cargada en esta ocasión.
Por un lado la habitual ilustración para la sección Muy Legal, escrita por Alberto P. Cancer, y cuyo título este mes es "Crímenes con pedigrí".

La hora del café

Ayer por la tarde, como cada tarde, me bajé a la cafetería a tomar mi café de la tarde(el de la mañana me lo tomo por la mañana, tengo esa manía). Y pensando en el tema de la semana de La Puerta de Tannhaüser esbocé esto.
Yesterday in the evening, as every evening, I took a break and went to the café to drink a coffee in the evening (the coffe in the morning I take it in the morning, have this obsession)
And thinking about the topic of the week of La Puerta de Tannhaüser I outlined this.



Más tarde subí a a casa y en otro papel lo dibujé a pincel, con tinta china y gouache negro.
Y lo escaneé.
Later I came back at home and in another paper I drew it with paintbrush, Indian ink and black gouache.
So I did a scan of it.


Y una hora y pico mas tarde así quedó.
And one hour something after the result was this.

La hora del café.
Coffe time.

Tintin v.2.0 Steampunk

Bueno amigos, pues esta es mi visión steampunk de Tintin y Milou para el tema propuesto la semana pasada en el blog de ilustradores La Puerta de Tannhaüser sobre personajes de cómic. Y de paso sirva de humilde homenaje a uno de mis heroes de cómic favoritos en su 80 aniversario. Tinta Windsor&Newton y Gouache Talens sobre papel Montval Canson 200g/m2 Color:Photoshop.

All right , folks, this one is my steampunk vision of Tintin and Milou for the topic proposed last week in the illustrators' blog La Puerta de Tannhaüser about comic books characters . It is in addition my humble homage to one of my favourite characters in his 80 anniversary. Inks Windsor&Newton and Gouache Talens on Montval Canson cold pressed paper 200g/m2 and color with Photoshop.
