Well, this one is the poster that I´ve prepared for the session of Celtic rock, as well as medieval and/or electronic derivatives of the style, in that I´ll perform as DJ the next Thursday March 19 (two days after Saint Patrick´s Day), in El Otro Lado Bar in Salamanca from 23:30 .

PD.If my boots do that the safety arch whistles, I don´t have objection in taking off them ... but the wretch who opened my suitcase and stole the tobacco worries me...

La hora del café

Ayer por la tarde, como cada tarde, me bajé a la cafetería a tomar mi café de la tarde(el de la mañana me lo tomo por la mañana, tengo esa manía). Y pensando en el tema de la semana de La Puerta de Tannhaüser esbocé esto.
Yesterday in the evening, as every evening, I took a break and went to the café to drink a coffee in the evening (the coffe in the morning I take it in the morning, have this obsession)
And thinking about the topic of the week of La Puerta de Tannhaüser I outlined this.



Más tarde subí a a casa y en otro papel lo dibujé a pincel, con tinta china y gouache negro.
Y lo escaneé.
Later I came back at home and in another paper I drew it with paintbrush, Indian ink and black gouache.
So I did a scan of it.


Y una hora y pico mas tarde así quedó.
And one hour something after the result was this.

La hora del café.
Coffe time.

Tintin v.2.0 Steampunk

Bueno amigos, pues esta es mi visión steampunk de Tintin y Milou para el tema propuesto la semana pasada en el blog de ilustradores La Puerta de Tannhaüser sobre personajes de cómic. Y de paso sirva de humilde homenaje a uno de mis heroes de cómic favoritos en su 80 aniversario. Tinta Windsor&Newton y Gouache Talens sobre papel Montval Canson 200g/m2 Color:Photoshop.

All right , folks, this one is my steampunk vision of Tintin and Milou for the topic proposed last week in the illustrators' blog La Puerta de Tannhaüser about comic books characters . It is in addition my humble homage to one of my favourite characters in his 80 anniversary. Inks Windsor&Newton and Gouache Talens on Montval Canson cold pressed paper 200g/m2 and color with Photoshop.

Ayer estuve entre el público de El Hormiguero y llevé esta caricatura a Pablo Motos, su conocido presentador. No me fue posible dársela en mano, sino que tuve que hacerlo a través de uno de sus colaboradores técnicos (que si no se la a entregado, mil rayos le partan).
Espero no obstante que la haya recibido y le haya gustado.

Yesterday I was among the public of the TV program El Hormiguero (The Anthill) and I drew this caricature to give it to the host Pablo Motos. It was not possible to give him in person but I had to do it through one of his technical collaborators (if this one has not delivered the gift, damm it!).

I hope anyhow that Pablo has received it and he has liked it (and all of you).

Lamia

Mi aportación para el tema Mitología propuesto la semana pasada en La puerta de Tannhaüser.
Dependiendo de la zona de Euskadi, las Lamias (Lamiak) presentan aspectos completamente diferentes. Por un lado pueden ser unos duendecillos sin sexo definido de aspecto más bien malévolo (lamiñakuak, castellanizado como lamiñacos), o bien pueden ser hermosas doncellas de largos cabellos y pies de ave (de pato, ganso ó águila son las referencias que conozco). En Álava se conocen como amilamias y en Navarra suelen describirse como una especie de brujas (eleilamiak). Las diferentes leyendas sobre lamias sí coinciden en situarlas cerca de ríos, fuentes, manantiales o pozos y como poseedoras de algún tesoro, aspecto este último muy comun en cualquier mitología del norte peninsular o del celtismo europeo. En cierto modo recuerdan a las Xanas (Xanes) de Asturias, de León (en donde pueden aparecer con cola de serpiente en vez de piernas) ó las Anjanas de Cantabria.

My contribution to the last week topic of the illustration blog La Puerta de Tanhaüser.
In different areas of the Basque Country, the Lamias (Lamiñak) presents completely different appearances. In some, they can be "elves" with no defined sex and a rather malevolent look (Lamiñakuak), or beatiful long-haired maidens and bird feet (duck, goose or eagle are the examples I know). In Álava they are known as Amilamias and in Navarra they are described as a kind of witches. The different legends about the basque lamias agree in placing them near rivers, fountains, springs or wells, and owning some treasure, which is very common aspect in the mithology from spanish peninsular north or the European Celtism. In a certain way they resemble the Xanas (Xanes) from Asturias, or León (where they can appear with a snake tail instead of legs) or the Anjanas from Cantabria.

El tema de la semana de La Puerta de Tannhaüser era Monstruos, en toda la extensión de la palabra. Me he inclinado por una versión libre y experimental de la condesa Erzsébet Báthory. Y es que los peores monstruos son los monstruos de aspecto humano.
